"The European Union will try to improve working conditions in the developing world by demanding that trade partners meet minimum labour standards in new bilateral trade deals."

I would like to say this might be a good tool to push some companies in China who do not pay attention to human rights and do not comply with labor laws and regulations of PRC.

However, the minumum labour standard EU is going to choose shall not be higher than what our labor laws state.

I am curious about how they find out which one is satisfied with the standard and which one is not.
